I wanted to take time to thank all of you for what you continue to do each week for my daughter.

My daughter, Nicole, suffers from ADHA, chemical depression, absessive compulsive disorder, anxiety attacks and learning disabilities.

Nicole has always loved horses, and once we found out through her teacher that SMILES was not only for the physically disabled but also for people who are emotionally disabled we brought Nicole over to see your facility.

Nicole immediately fell in love with SMILES and could hardly waited until classes started.

Nicole has been a student and volunteer at SMILES since the Spring of 2002. This is a very short time, but Nicole has made so much progress since starting. We have had our ups and downs with Nicoles's anxiety, but thanks to the staff and volunteers at SMILES they have always turned into something positive. The staff has never been too busy to take the time Nicole needs to get over these hurdles. Even the other students are there to encourage her.

Since starting at SMILES Nicole has not only earned horseback riding skills, but also the responsibilities of taking care of a horse. The main thing she has gained is self confidence - something she has never had. Another major plus are the friends she has made through her classes at SMILES.

Nicole just completed her first SMILES horse show and once again she was able to experience something she hadn't felt before - success!! Although she didn't get any first place trophies - she won other ribbons and a second place trophy for her efforts - and for Nicole that was as good as gold!

So on behalf of Nicole, my family and myself - a big thank you to everyone at SMILES for everything you have done for Nicole. We look forward to working with you for many more years.
